The PLuS Alliance is a ground breaking union between ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Sydney,ÌýÌý²¹²Ô»åÌý. It was formed to tackle complex problems and provide a global learning experience.
The risk of bioterrorism and pandemics is increasing. Natural disasters and forced displacement of people pose additional public health challenges. First responders in the field must have a cross-disciplinary understanding of the health aspects of emergency response and disaster recovery in a wide range of situations. You can choose from a suite of programs in public health, emergency management and security. They will equip graduates with advanced disciplinary skills in disaster and epidemic management.

This website is to provide ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø students with the relevant information in regard to undertaking a PLuS Alliance course at Arizona State University as part of your SPH degree.
Course Information
Students are able to do a maximum of two courses at Arizona State University (ASU) towards their SPH Master degree (including dual and extension degrees) and one ASU course for an SPH Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma.
Please refer to theÌýÌýfor the list of courses available. ASU courses available to SPH students all have the ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Course CodesÌýYMED, with the first number 5 for postgraduate courses.

What happens next?
You will then obtain access to ASU systems and you will receive communication regarding this from Arizona State University approximately 3 days before the course start date.Ìý Please note ASU uses Canvas (not Moodle) but support information will be provided so students know how to navigate Canvas.

No. ASU uses Canvas and you will have access to the course content on Canvas. ASU will send you the relevant information on how to access Canvas.

Please bear in mind that the ASU courses require students to submit smaller more frequent pieces of assessment compared to ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø. This is all part of the learning experience you will obtain by undertaking a course at an American university.

No. ASU uses a letter grading system (A, B, C, D, F) whereas ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø uses Fail, Pass, Credit, Distinction and High Distinction. Grades received from ASU courses will be converted to an equivalent ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø grade that appears on your transcript. The grade conversion table can be found below:
