ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø

In August, ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Built Environment hosted a Housing Affordability Roundtable, attended by the NSW Premier the Hon. Chris Minns MP, Minister for Housing the Hon. Rose Jackson MP, Minister for Planning and Public Spaces the Hon. Paul Scully MP, and colleagues from UTS and the University of Wollongong.

Adequate supply of appropriate and affordable quality housing is hugely complex. The roundtable was a valuable opportunity for ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø experts in housing policy, planning and design to share their expertise and applied knowledge about how to develop evidence-based approaches and solutions to address this complex issue.

The Roundtable was broken down into three segments, presented by ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Built Environment, City Futures Research Centre, ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Cities Institute, UTS and University of Wollongong academics. These were:

1. Better Delivery Models
2. Better Decision Making
3. Better Design and Wellbeing

Each segment presented the evidence base for action to improve housing affordability, health and liveability, and also included a demonstration of the tool, that enables users to quickly estimate and visualise the impact infrastructure decisions have on property values.
