School partner opportunities

  • Become part of a Riverina cluster of ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Initial Teacher Education students, ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø academics and staff and other school partners to form a community-based group in Education.
  • Be supported by the ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø School of Education Riverina and its Regional Director.
  • Employ local ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Initial Teacher Education students as paraprofessionals while they study locally with ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø. This provides on the ground training leading to career-ready teachers immersed in your school community from the very beginning.
  • Host Teacher Education students for their professional experience placements. Our teaching degrees are practice-oriented, with learning in schools from the first term.
  • Access high performing, career-ready ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø educated students upon graduation for teaching positions in your school.
  • Receive tailored support from ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø for paraprofessional teachers, Teacher Education students and their mentors.
  • Access quality mentor training and support for supervising teachers.
  • Engage in professional learning and research opportunities with ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø.
  • Join face-to-face seminars held by ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø local staff and Sydney based academics in the Riverina to support the ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Riverina students and school partners.

Partnership opportunities are available to Primary and Secondary schools within the Catholic, Independent and Government school sectors.

Student profile

Potential students available to schools for paraprofessional placement will be undergoing the following courses of study:

School partner commitment

  • Provide an opportunity for ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Initial Teacher Education students to be employed in a paid paraprofessional role at a minimum of 0.2 FTE.
  • Host ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø students in their Work Integrated Learning Placements.
  • Provide a mentor/supervising teacher for paraprofessional teachers and students on placement.
  • Be supportive of ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø students immersed in the school community.
  • Offer flexibility for hosted ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø students during the exam period and compulsory components required in their program of study.
