ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø offers a wide range of scholarships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. These scholarships are designed to assist and encourage Indigenous Australian students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies at ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø.

How to apply

Applying is easy. Explore our full portfolio of Indigenous scholarships to find the right one for you. Take note of eligibility criteria and application instructions. Some scholarships require you to submit an additional application via the scholarships website or the application can be automatic with your university application.

For undergraduate students, some of the scholarships available include:

  • This scholarship is valued at $35,000 per annum for the duration of the medical program. It is available to Indigenous Australian students commencing full-time undergraduate coursework study in the Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine (BMed MD) program.

  • Offering $15,000 per annum for up to 5 years, this scholarship supports Indigenous Australian students commencing full-time undergraduate studies in any degree program within the Faculty of Engineering.

  • Also valued at $15,000 per annum for up to 5 years, this scholarship is available for Indigenous Australian students commencing full-time undergraduate study in Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Environmental Engineering.

  • This scholarship provides $10,000 per annum for the duration of the program to Indigenous Australian students commencing full-time undergraduate studies in any degree program at ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø.

  • With a value of $5,000 per annum for the duration of the program, it is available for Indigenous Australian students commencing full-time undergraduate studies in a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics or Statistics.

  • This scholarship offers $10,000 per annum for the duration of the program and is automatically awarded to students who have completed the ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Indigenous Pre-Program in Business and are commencing an eligible undergraduate degree offered by ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Business School.

For postgraduate students, ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø provides the following scholarships:

  • Valued at $10,000 per annum for the minimum duration of the program, this scholarship is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students applying to a postgraduate coursework degree program offered by ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Business School, with a preference for non-AGSM programs.

  • Offering $10,000 per annum for the duration of the program, this scholarship is available for Indigenous Australian students commencing or currently enrolled in the ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Juris Doctor Program.

Confirmation of Aboriginality

While Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identity is unique and sacred to every person all applicants and students who participate or are involved in Nura Gili Programs and/or activities are required to provide proof of their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity and heritage.
