The SDG Committee plays a key role as part of the ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Business School 2023 Strategy by informing how we shape our business and society to create sustainable social and economic value by developing innovative theories, insights, and frameworks. Bringing faculty members from different disciplinary backgrounds together with industry, institutions, and communities to partner in solving important societal and business challenges, building our culture, people, capabilities and resources to sustainably create opportunities.

The SDG Committee are also responsible for implementing the SDG priorities of the Faculty EDI Plan that aligns with ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø Strategy 2025 and contributes toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and PRME goals.

The SDG Committee:

  • Reviews the progress towards the SDGs against the plans and targets set at Faculty levels.
  • Identifies and coordinates new initiatives to advance the SDGs in the Business School.
  • Acts as sponsors and advocates of sustainable development to raise awareness amongst staff and students of the importance of sustainability and responsible management, at the Business School and ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø.
  • Communicates the ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø SDGs Framework and monitor our progress against this.
  • Leverages the opportunities for alignment of the SDGs’ principles into our existing policies, strategies and practices through an integrated approach.
  • Informs and inspire internal and external stakeholders about the SDGs and their importance at the Business School and ÁñÁ«¹ÙÍø, and demonstrate and provide leadership to Australian business.
